The larger community of Florstadt chronicle of the parts of the community

A short view about the history of our community and their present situation
The history of the larger community of Florstadt begins on July 1, 1970 with the federation of the parts of the community Lower and Upper Florstadt, in the tradition of a common administration from 1820 to 1861. On December 6,1971 the municipal community of Florstadt and the municipal community of Staden signed a contract which changed the community limits. This settlement also included the addition Staden as a new district. This settlement became effective on December 31,1971.
The former independent communities of Leidhecken and Lower Mockstadt were incorporated on February 1, 1972 and August 1, 1972. These communities came from the former district of Büdingen. The incorporation of the current district of Stammheim was finalized through a law of reorganization of the counties of Büdingen and Friedberg on July 11,1972 and August 1, 1972. In counties of Büdingen and Friedberg merged together and a central community was created, in both a geographical sense and in the interest of larger regional planning.
